The Center for Global Africa proudly participated in the 39th African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, alongside a Delaware delegation advancing strategic African partnerships and business opportunities.

 

Alicia Clark, CGA’s Director of Global Partnerships and African Women Leaders Network  (AWLN) Diaspora Consortium Co-Chair also connected with youth leaders and local partners to spark new pathways for global engagement and future collaboration. 

 

These discussions were aligned with the AU Theme 2026: “Water Sustainability and Sanitation,” emphasizing the critical role of Diaspora and global partners in supporting Africa’s sustainable water management, infrastructure, and public health initiatives. Addis Ababa, 13 February 2026 - On the margins of the 39th African Union (AU) Heads of State Summit, the African Women Leaders Network (AWLN) convened a High-Level Meeting including a Closed Session and the Ninth Edition of the EWA Breakfast in Addis Ababa on 13 February 2026. These strategic gatherings served as a vital milestone as the Network prepares for its landmark 10th anniversary in 2027.
